Leaders who nurture Good Followers have an easier path to full engagement of those followers. Here are 12 characteristics and behaviors leaders should encourage and nurture in their followers or team members to help them become good followers.
I. Thou shalt ALIGN – Alignment
II. Thou shalt not “group think.”
III. Thou shalt ENGAGE – Engagement
IV. Remember to Follow yourself!
V. Thou Shalt Understand & Buy in to vision, mission & strategy
VI. Thou Shalt Follow Principle - follow Principle before People
VII. Thou Shalt be Good Steward – see Genesis 1:28
VIII. Thou Shalt Know thy ecosystem – 4 R’s.
IX. Thou shalt Be a good Delegatee, follow instructions well
X. Thou shalt hold leaders accountable effectively – ask the right questions
XI. Remember to be a Brand Ambassadorship
XII. Remember to be a great teammate.
